During this time of year, I am reminded of the story told in Luke chapter 17. Allow me to paraphrase:
“Jesus and his buddies are traveling on their way to Jerusalem and as they entered into a village ten lepers approached them. Keeping somewhat of a distance, they screamed out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” Then Jesus responded “Go show yourselves to the priests” on their way they noticed they were healed. One of them was so grateful he ran back to Jesus and fell at his feet and thank him loudly. Jesus then said, weren’t there ten of you? Get up friend, your faith has healed you.”
As, I write this letter my heart is filled with thanks and gratitude. I am so thankful to God for His grace and mercy in my life. I am thankful that God has chosen City Impact to minister to the children, youth and families that we serve daily. I am thankful to our staff and board for their commitment to our community. I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to THANK YOU all for your love, commitment, prayers and your financial support. City Impact continues because of God’s grace and your involvement.
With my gratitude,
Betty Alvarez Ham
