BACK TO SCHOOL

Dear Richard,

As backpacks are filled and classrooms buzz with fresh energy, we are reminded of something powerful: school should be a place to grow, thrive, and belong.

But for thousands of children, the start of the school year doesn’t bring just excitement. It brings a heavy, silent weight—crippling anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the deep stress of challenges they don’t yet have the words to express. Left untreated, these struggles can rob a child of their childhood and their potential.

No child should have to fight these battles alone.

Demand for City Impact’s services is higher than ever before. Last year we provided weekly counseling to over 265 students. This year we are anticipating 600 students. Over twice as many!

That is why City Impact’s school-based mental health professionals are stepping up. This year, our team will walk alongside even more students on campus, offering immediate counseling, crisis support, and a safe space to be heard.

Your gift today directly changes a child's story by funding:

· On-campus counseling for students who would otherwise slip through the cracks.

· On-site crisis support for moments when a student needs immediate intervention.

· Social-emotional workshops that teach healthy coping skills.

· Trauma-informed care for students facing critical moments.

· Resilience-building groups that replace fear with confidence and connection.

· Zero financial barriers, ensuring that no child is ever turned away from the help they desperately need.

Will you help us make this school year a turning point? A gift of $25, $50, or whatever you can spare doesn't just buy resources—it buys peace of mind, safety, and a future for a child in our community.

Thank you for believing in the potential of every student and for standing with us.

Warmly,

Cynthia Torres, LMFT, Executive Director, City Impact
