JOSE'S STORY

Jose, picked on since middle school and without a father at home, this young individual struggled with gang affiliations and multiple suspensions during 9th and 10th grade. However, his desire for change led our case manager to enroll him in ACE Charter High School, where he has truly thrived.
He is dedicated–living in Fillmore, he has a 3.5-hour bus commute each day. He is happy at his new school, his grades have dramatically improved, and he even inspired a friend to join him at ACE Charter High School. This story exemplifies the transformative power of perseverance and support.
