Gabriel is an 18-year-old Hispanic client. He has been receiving support from a City Impact (CI) clinician for two years. Currently, he is a senior at Pacifica High School and will soon be graduating. Gabriel was diagnosed with a specific learning disability in high school.

He has been working with the clinician on:

- Coping mechanisms
- Attendance
- Self-esteem

- Other challenges

Gabriel’s strengths
include:

- Talent in varsity soccer
- A supportive family
- A dedicated team of school professionals focused on his academic success

Gabriel comes from a financially challenged background. Initially, he planned not to attend graduation due to the cost of the cap and gown, which he couldn't afford. Gabriel claimed he didn’t want to attend, hiding the true reason. The clinician discovered this and collaborated with his case manager to purchase the cap and gown.

Gabriel will be the first in his family to
graduate high school.
