Dear Friends,

Last week, I had a wonderful phone call from one of City Impact's former students.  As I conversed with her I found out that she was in her senior year in college and is a Liberal Arts major – wanting to become a teacher.

I asked, "Why teach?"  "Betty, there are many reasons, but one of them is, that is how we met you and Kevin.  In our school groups you taught us that we could succeed and become whatever we want to be.  You guys loved us even when we were squirrelly.  Most of all, we remember coming to your house and having all of the Hams cook dinner and serve us -- that night ended with you telling us that Jesus really loved us.  It is because of you that we know Jesus and we are here -- Gracias!"

City Impact's methodology is based on Jesus' example of going into the community, whether it be a house, a school, a jail or a neighborhood we are there.  It is because of donors like you that help us to do so.

Please know that it is your prayers and support that has made it possible for this young lady to hear God's message of love and to follow her dreams.  This week the majority of our schools are going back into session – please pray for their protection and success in school.
