Student Support Groups American Tall Ship Institute

In partnership with school districts throughout Ventura County, these 8-week programs are designed to educate youth on Drugs/Alcohol, HIV/AIDS and the trendy drugs that exist today. Leadership groups are also offered to empower students with making positive choices for theirlives to make a difference. City Impact youth launches the boat they built in partnership with the American Tall Ship Institute based out of Channel Islands, and their boat-building program.

After School Program Gang Violence Prevention

Our after-school program operates in Cabrillo Village in Ventura. This program consists of outdoor activities, academic tutoring and the Reckoning Art Program that utilizes a creative approach to develop character, education and leadership training. Gang Violence Suppression
A collaborative of organizations including City Impact, Oxnard Police Department, Oxnard Elementary School District, Ventura County Probation Agency, and The Ventura County District Attorney. City Impact provides gang awareness education and strategies, individual and family counseling and educational support.

Transformation Works
City Impact leads a collaborative with Oxnard City Corps, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme and Oxnard Police Department’s Operation Peace Works (OPW) to work with gang involved youth who need one-on-one intervention to help navigate through the complex process of goal setting, becoming employable, gaining work experience, and obtaining a job.
Street Outreach
In collaboration with Oxnard Police Department, City Impact provides violence education and intervention services for gang involved and gang affiliated youth. The goal is to mediate and diffuse conflicts and tensions, reduce attachment of project youth to gangs and violent activities, and actively promote peace-building.
