“Our Country is blessed with a long tradition and honorable commitment to assisting individuals, families, and communities who have not fully shared in America’s prosperity. But despite efforts by the Federal and State governments to battle social distress, too many of our neighbors still suffer from poverty and despair. In every corner of America, people of all ages and walks of life are calling out for help.”

MISSION/VISION/HISTORY
Our Mission is to promote the educational, physical, and emotional well-being of the families we serve through our programs.
Our Vision is to serve as a pivotal agent in integrating different people groups in reconciliation, empowerment of youth and development of leaders. A comprehensive methodology is used to meet the needs of the community. |
 |
|
Our History
City Impact is a multicultural community organization established in 1995 to meet the growing needs of at-risk/high-risk youth and low-income families throughout Ventura County. We serve 2,800 individuals per week through a myriad of comprehensive prevention, early intervention and family support programs. Services include academic tutoring, mentoring programs, job shadowing, student support groups, prevention education on HIV/AIDS and Substance Use/Abuse, re-entry programs for youth on probation, counseling services, family improvement workshops, parenting education, family literacy, nutritional/fitness education, community outreach projects, and cultural and recreational enrichment activities. City Impact has duplicated its outreach methodology in the urban communities of Pacoima and La Puente, California, St. Louis and Kansas City, Missouri.
|
 |
Our programs and services have proven to improve academic performance and school attendance, reduce youth violence amongst at-risk children and youths, reduce juvenile delinquency, positive change in attitude towards school, improved self-esteem, improved peer and family relationships, improved literacy skills and school readiness for children 0-5 years old, and increased awareness on healthy living.
City Impact’s effectiveness has won the trust of civic leaders, prison officials, educators and pastors, opening numerous doors for creative programs to reach troubled children, youth and their family members. |

OUR STAFF
Our highly trained staff of licensed professionals includes therapists, educators and community outreach workers. We provide counseling services, community awareness activities, family education workshops, mentoring programs, leadership development training and outreach events that target high-risk youth. Because of our staff’s expertise in working with high-risk populations, we accept some of the most difficult counseling cases involving children, youth and their families. Through City Impact programs, our staff works with more than 2,800 Ventura County children, youth and family members per week.
